Saturday 7th August 10am – 4pm.
We’ll have the usual idiots manning the entrance and helping everyone park.
So it’s not at RAF Cosford?
Nope. Unfortunately, the site took the decision to focus solely on their own events until October this year. That meant we needed to find somewhere else.
What’s going to happen?
The usual, minus the Museum. We all meet, get parked up, and spend the day looking at the country’s finest cars then we all disappear off and have a beer or three.
There’ll be the usual prizes and other bits and pieces. But the venue means there’ll be a really personal feel to everything and people will get a chance to mosey around and speak to people.
Is there anywhere to meet before heading to the campsite?
Yes, (Insert address here).
However, the club cannot condone any convoys to or from the site.
What else is going on?
Um, nothing unfortunately.
The “new” venue means we’re limited in what we can do.
There’ll still be the Show and Shine, and Dreadnought will be there , but it’s a mighty big field with nothing in it.
What about the infamous Saturday night?
Well, that’s happening. Obviously.
For the guys at the Hotel, there’ll be money behind the bar.
For those staying at the campsite, there’ll be a free BBQ and a couple of beers, courtesy of the club.
Did you say free beer?
Yes. We did.
Where to stay options:
The campsite – (Costs)
The Hotel – (Costs and contact)
Are we going back?
To RAF Cosford? Probably. We’re catching up with the site later this year. But there’s also the option of a purpose built festival site in the offering. So we need to look at all the possibilities.
How much does it costIf you’re coming for the day, there’s no “cost” as we just aren’t like that. What we are suggesting though, is a voluntary donation of £4. This’ll all go to Ted, the Land Owner.
Where can I buy a Hoodie or T Shirt?
But please be aware that it’s only open for people that are attending the meet. We’ll be opening it up to everyone later on.
