Has anyone used plate speakers like the Pioneer TSP462?
Looks good in theory.

I've not used them, but it's bound to be a smaller cone area than a 6x4, so unless it's a longer excursion driver, i'd anticipate poorer low frequency response.
With no panel damping/sound deadening, I presonally find that 6x4s tend to sound a bit "shouty" (need more LF extension to integrate smoothly with the sub, as raising the crossover point to the required frequency on the sub makes it sound too directional) and would anticipate these'd be worse.
But that's just me.
