One thing I would do is change the oil and filter, even though it looks clean it has been in the car for the 3 years its been standing.
Good luck with the MOT.

I hear what your saying. The old examiner boy did give them a right old poke and he seemed happy with them.81GTi wrote:Very nice indeed, If I was you I would be spending a few quid on sorting the area around the rear axle mounts as you will be lucky if they see the year out.
DONT paint underseal over rust, the rust will spread unseen under the sealant, especially if you use something like Hammerite that is thick and 'creeps' over any cracks in its surface that would be caused by rust beneath. Best thing to do is to drop the rear axle and attack the rust with a wire brush. If it stubborn surface rust a wire brush cup on a grinder will shift it. Then treat the metal with your favourite anti-rust coating and re-underseal.breezespeed wrote:I hear what your saying. Maybe a splash of underseal or somthing would'nt go a miss, i think the pic's make it look worse than it is.
The doors cards look shot and the dash is all cracked from sitting in the sun (!) for so long, so if you know of any good condition ones i may be intrested.Blue interior models are few and far between!
