Hi All,
I've had my 91 GT2 for about 2 months now - it's my first and my daily driver. I've had company cars for 12 yrs so am lovin it!
My question is (sorry if it's been done to death) I have just bought a set of Castellet alloys. Will the wheel bolts fitted to my original steelies be the right ones or do I need to purchase ones that are the right ones for alloys? Is there corrosion problems etc?? Cheers Pete

Re: Newbie question! Wheel Bolts question
VW alloys and steel wheels use the same bolts.

Re: Newbie question! Wheel Bolts question
I've seen a couple of different lengths of standard VW bolt - only about 5-8 mm in it, but alloys are likely to be slightly thicker.
To be on the safe side before you fit the wheel, just push a bolt through from the front of the wheel, and look at how far it sticks out of the back, compared to the steel wheel.
