Hey guys, I'm new here, got a 92 gt2 with standard steel wheels on them just now, looking to get them changed for a set of ats cups as the front tires are now illegal.
The ats cups I've got a chance to get are 6j with an et of 35, will these fit and if so, what tires would be best for them?
I presume the ATS cups are 15" wheels, if so to keep the speedo accurate 195/50/15 is good.
Tyrewise it is a personal prefrence but me personally I would not go for a cheap brand and always fit makes such as Continental, Pirelli etc, they are the only things keeping you in contact with the blackstuff!

I have a similar set and run them on 195-45/15 Toyo Proxes - you might find that tyre/size makes the rear wheels look a little lost in the rear arches on a mk2 with a bodykit on - see my project thread for A20 GTX.
195-50/15 is a very easy tyre to source but I found they made parking speed steering a fair bit heaver than the 45's on a 6'' rim.
If you can track down a 185-55/15 tyre that will match the original tyre set up that big bumper mk2 Golfs ran when they switched the the similar size 6 x 15 BBS RA.
Okay thanks a lot. I've done a bit of looking around, and I can't actually find another set of 15x6 et 35 ats cups around, do you think the ones I've bought are reps?
