Sebrings

Just picked up a set of 15" Sebring wheels and fitted them to the car, but i'm getting a bit of rubbing when on full lock

I've seen a few other rocco's on these wheels, and never heard of anyone having issues. Any idea what may be causing it?

The car's not lowered at all (yet) and tyres are standard size i think - 205/15/R50 (could be R45)

I don't want to remove the inner liners if possible. the only thing about them is that they were advertised as Golf Rallye sebrings, rather than Corrado ones - i have no idea if there's actualy 2 different versions though

The tyres are too wide. 195/50/15 is the correct size (on a mk2 Scirocco, to maintain the approx rolling radius), some people will go for 195/45/15 on a lowered car.

Thanks Ed, time to go tyre shopping!

How much of a difference would R50/R45 make to speedo readout?
i'm only planning on lowering about 25mm, but if there's a chance that R50 would start catching again at this, i'll look at getting R45 instead

I don't think you'd have any trouble with 50s and a 25mm drop. The speedo difference with 45s would be negligible, there are a few online tyre size calculators that would be able to give you an exact figure.
